چکیده

We propose a deconstruction framework to recognize and nd articulated objects. In particular we are interested in human arm and leg articulations. The deconstruction view of recognition naturally decomposes the problem of nding an object in an image, into the one of (i) extracting key features in an image, (ii) detecting key points in the models, (iii) segmenting an image, and (iv) comparing shapes. All of these subproblems can not be resolved independently. Together, they reconstruct the object in the image. We brieey address (i) and (ii) to focus on solving together shape similarity and segmentation, combining top-down & bottom-up algorithms. We show that the visual deconstruction approach is derived as an optimization for a Bayesian-Information theory, and that the whole process is naturally generated by the guaranteed Dijkstra optimization algorithm.

Recognizing Stalactites and Stalagmites of ELT Vodcasting in Teacher Education Based on Activity Theory and Visual Thinking Strategies

Teachers need to know new applications for developing online materials and then they should become aware of different ways to present them to online audience. This study tries to help ELT teachers to overcome challenges and difficulties of vodcasting by recognizing their social and biological motives (Activity Theory), and using Visual Thinking Strategies (VTS). It can alter teachers’ negative ...

Deconstruction in a nutshell.

What is deconstruction? Nothing, of course. (Derrida, 1991, p. 275) . . . deconstruction doesn’t consist in a set of theorems, axioms, tools, rules, techniques, methods . . . there is no deconstruction, deconstruction has no specific object . . . (Derrida, 1996, p. 218) . . . deconstruction is neither an analysis nor a critique. . . . I would say the same about method. Deconstruction is not a m...

Tradition, Betrayal, and the Politics of Deconstruction

Using deconstructive techniques to make political and legal arguments raises the obvious question whether there is any connection between deconstruction and politics or deconstruction and justice. In fact, I believe that there are important connections between deconstruction, justice, and politics. But deconstruction itself does not have a politics, or rather, it has only the politics of those ...

Intertextual Reading of Postmodern Architecture (Based on Historicist postmodern architecture and Deconstruction)

Postmodernism is a very ambiguous term. It attracted many researchers from different fields of knowledge in the late 1960s. This article explains intertextuality as a critical means to derive its concepts and components in order to understand the hidden layers of meaning in postmodern pluralist ideology. Variable thoughts of postmodern architecture have been divided into two categories—Hi...

The Auto-deconstructive Image: of Vestigial Places

The deconstruction of Christianity is an ongoing project for Jean-Luc Nancy. Apart from La Déclosion (2005a), the book which contains the central texts he has written on this topic, themes and ideas pertaining to that project persistently appear in his earlier writings on visual art, where he places art at the heart of such deconstruction.1 For a clearer understanding of its multiple aspects, i...
